The opportunity at Flagship is for a Pastry Chef position that offers an annual salary range of $95,000 to $100,000. This role involves leading pastry and dessert production from scratch in a fast-paced, high-volume bakery or kitchen environment. Reporting directly to the Executive Pastry Chef, the Pastry Chef will supervise a small team responsible for producing a wide variety of baked goods including cookies, scones, tarts, pies, brownies, cakes, flans, custards, doughs, and chocolates. The position emphasizes creativity and precision, requiring the candidate to write and research international pastry recipes and menus.
The Pastry Chef is essential to Flagship's commitment to delivering high-quality products daily, managing their station based on kitchen guidelines, and ensuring all food items are prepared in a sanitary and timely manner. The ideal candidate should possess excellent baking skills and a deep understanding of the science and art of baking, along with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail. Knowledge of international desserts, flavors, and profiles of sweet and savory dishes is necessary to help maintain Flagship's standard of culinary excellence.

This role requires physical stamina to handle lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, and frequent movement around the kitchen and café environment, with adherence to food safety and sanitation standards essential.
