Job Description

Anthony Scotto Restaurants is a distinguished culinary group known for their passionate commitment to excellence in the dining experience. Specializing in a blend of fine dining, they operate several acclaimed establishments that emphasize quality, creativity, and seasonal ingredients. Their portfolio includes high-end steakhouses, sushi and sashimi bars, and seafood restaurants, each offering a distinct culinary journey paired with award-winning wine selections. The hallmark of Anthony Scotto Restaurants is their relentless pursuit of innovation and quality, achieved by sourcing the finest ingredients from around the globe and adapting their menus to reflect seasonal flavors. This commitment not only manifests in their savory offerings but extends into their creative dessert selections, crafted in-house by talented pastry teams.

They are currently seeking a skilled Pastry Chef to join one of their fine dining restaurants, which is a role that carries a high level of responsibility and an opportunity to contribute significantly to the restaurant's success. The Pastry Chef will collaborate closely with Executive Chefs and culinary teams to create innovative and visually stunning dessert menus that enhance the overall dining experience. This position is ideal for an artistic and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a high-volume, fine dining environment and who is eager to use their creativity to elevate the dining experience through desserts. The role involves both culinary creativity and leadership within the pastry kitchen, guiding assistants and ensuring production efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Compensation for the Pastry Chef position at Anthony Scotto Restaurants is industry-leading and includes revenue-based quarterly bonuses designed to reward and share the company’s success with its employees. Additional benefits include comprehensive medical coverage through United Health Care Oxford with company contributions, dental and vision insurance, 401K retirement plans, and paid time off. These benefits underscore the restaurant group's commitment to their team’s well-being and professional growth.

The Pastry Chef is responsible not only for preparing an array of baked goods like cakes, cookies, pies, and bread following both traditional and modern recipes, but also for conceiving new desserts that renew the menu and engage customers. Presentation and decoration of pastries with creative icings and toppings are pivotal to the role, as is maintaining ingredient inventory and kitchen equipment. Beyond cooking, the Pastry Chef manages the pastry team, including recruiting, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation, and ensures that all kitchen operations comply with health and safety standards.

Working at Anthony Scotto Restaurants presents the opportunity to have a significant voice in shaping the company and its culture. Employees have regular exposure to ownership, allowing for meaningful contributions to operational decisions and service standards. This collaborative atmosphere fosters career growth and encourages innovation within a successful and expanding culinary brand. Candidates with at least three years of fine dining experience and a passion for leadership and culinary artistry will find this a rewarding and dynamic career opportunity.
