Loquat is a small and cozy Jewish bakery located in the vibrant Hayes Valley neighborhood. Our bakery is dedicated to sourcing, preparing, and serving the highest quality ingredients and pastries, all while honoring and exploring Jewish traditions and Middle Eastern flavors. Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of professional bakery or pastry kitchen experience
- Lamination experience strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team setting as well as independently
- Willingness to pitch in wherever needed
- Ability to think on your feet in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Professionalism and poise at all times
- Consistent punctuality
- Ability to work full time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Minimum of two professional references

Job Duties
- Laminating doughs, babka, and puff pastries
- Scaling and mixing a variety of cookies, doughs, cakes, and fillings
- Baking cakes, cookies, and other pastries
- Working in production and restocking ingredients to ensure a smooth kitchen flow
- Preparing ingredients for the following day
- Writing a prep list to ensure all components are delivered for service
- Executing pastry menus developed by pastry management
