Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience in pastry department of a high-volume full-service restaurant or supportive role
- Food Handler Certification if applicable
- Ability to manage time and organize work for high-quality food production
- Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision
- Capability to multitask in a dynamic environment
- Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 1 year experience in the pastry department of a high-volume, full-service restaurant or supportive role preferred
- Food Handler Certification if applicable
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment
- Demonstrated passion for quality food preparation and guest service
- Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Prepare all pastry items for the restaurant according to specifications
- Demonstrate, prepare, present, and execute each menu item to restaurant standards
- Produce food on a timely basis while being knowledgeable about the menu
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation including tables, shelves, pastry, cooking, and refrigeration equipment
- Follow departmental policies and restaurant rules, regulations, and policies as set forth in the Employee Handbook and by management
- Report any maintenance or repairs needed to kitchen equipment
- Provide excellent quality and presentation of all food to guests
- Prevent spoiling and contamination of foods by implementing proper sanitation practices and ensuring compliance with policy and health regulations
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness in kitchen facilities
- Take on responsibilities outside of this job post as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork
