Job Requirements

  • culinary education or apprenticeship preferred
  • prior experience in pastry or culinary arts beneficial
  • adherence to food safety and health regulations
  • physical ability to perform 75% physical and 25% cerebral work
  • willingness to learn and develop skills
  • effective communication skills
  • capability to work collaboratively in a team
  • availability to work in Saratoga, Wyoming at Brush Creek Ranch

Job Qualifications

  • culinary education or apprenticeship preferred but not mandatory
  • skills in baking, chocolate work, and bread preparation
  • knowledge of cooking and preparation equipment
  • proficiency in knife skills
  • ability in basic cooking techniques including sautéing, broiling, frying, roasting, butchery, garde manger, pantry, and breakfast cookery
  • basic computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, TM1
  • strong oral communication skills
  • creativity and energy
  • ability to mentor and foster teamwork

Job Duties

  • learn and execute all daily operational duties and pastry recipes
  • prepare and produce food items for bakery and food outlets
  • utilize all food and beverage standard operating procedures and comply with health and federal regulations
  • inspect all food received for freshness and proper specifications
  • store raw and prepared foods using mandated procedures
  • maintain food cost, labor cost, schedule control, and eliminate overtime
  • supervise stewarding department and mentor staff for career development
  • monitor food freshness and ensure adherence to recipes and portion control
  • engage with guest feedback to improve service quality
  • foster a cooperative and respectful work environment
  • mentor associates for career advancement
