Job Requirements
- culinary education or apprenticeship preferred
- prior experience in pastry or culinary arts beneficial
- adherence to food safety and health regulations
- physical ability to perform 75% physical and 25% cerebral work
- willingness to learn and develop skills
- effective communication skills
- capability to work collaboratively in a team
- availability to work in Saratoga, Wyoming at Brush Creek Ranch
Job Qualifications
- culinary education or apprenticeship preferred but not mandatory
- skills in baking, chocolate work, and bread preparation
- knowledge of cooking and preparation equipment
- proficiency in knife skills
- ability in basic cooking techniques including sautéing, broiling, frying, roasting, butchery, garde manger, pantry, and breakfast cookery
- basic computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, TM1
- strong oral communication skills
- creativity and energy
- ability to mentor and foster teamwork
Job Duties
- learn and execute all daily operational duties and pastry recipes
- prepare and produce food items for bakery and food outlets
- utilize all food and beverage standard operating procedures and comply with health and federal regulations
- inspect all food received for freshness and proper specifications
- store raw and prepared foods using mandated procedures
- maintain food cost, labor cost, schedule control, and eliminate overtime
- supervise stewarding department and mentor staff for career development
- monitor food freshness and ensure adherence to recipes and portion control
- engage with guest feedback to improve service quality
- foster a cooperative and respectful work environment
- mentor associates for career advancement
