Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in baking or pastry preparation preferred
  • Ability to work early mornings and flexible shifts
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow recipes and food safety standards
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety in the kitchen

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or bakery (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Latin American pastries and flavors a huge plus
  • Passion for baking and creativity in presentation
  • Ability to work early mornings or flexible shifts
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare house-made pastries and desserts such as tres leches, rum cake parfaits, buñuelos, and Latin-style cakes
  • Develop and experiment with new pastries that align with our Latin roots and coffee shop vibe
  • Maintain quality, freshness, and consistency in all baked goods
  • Follow and refine recipes
  • scale up for service or events
  • Monitor kitchen inventory and communicate supply needs
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the prep and baking areas
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and bar staff to align pastries with seasonal drinks and menu specials
