Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This role is critical to ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while consistently adhering to the highest standards of food safety and quality. As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring timely food preparation to meet service demands. You will maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen workspace, practice proper food handling and storage techniques, and operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively. Collaboration with other kitchen staff is essential to deliver seamless service, particularly during peak hours, and you will also assist in menu planning, contributing ideas for new dishes or improvements to existing offerings.

This role involves supporting the dietary department by accommodating special dietary needs as required and fully complying with food safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment. The Prep Cook position is designed for individuals passionate about cooking and creating delicious meals that meet customer expectations. This role offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $19.00 to $22.00, depending on relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and other factors.

Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in food industry preferred
  • strong knife skills and familiarity with cooking techniques
  • knowledge of food safety practices including food handling procedures
  • ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environment maintaining attention to detail
  • excellent communication skills and teamwork ability
  • passion for cooking and creating meals
  • experience as dietary aide is a plus
