The Pasta Cook position at California Pizza Kitchen is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about food and culinary arts. As a Pasta Cook, you will play a critical role in delivering the high-quality food experience that CPK guests expect. The position entails preparing a variety of dishes including pastas, sandwiches, and grilled items, ensuring each dish meets CPK’s exacting standards for quality and presentation.

The Pasta Cook is responsible for maintaining food safety and sanitation standards rigorously throughout their shift. This includes handling all kitchen equipment and ingredients with care and adhering to proper food storage and preparation techniques. The role also involves participating in line checks and completing prep par sheets diligently to guarantee a smooth kitchen operation. Station opening, closing, and side work duties are integral parts of the job, emphasizing teamwork and responsibility.

Job Duties

  • Maintain the highest standards for food quality and sanitation
  • assure timely and accurate preparation of pastas, sandwiches, and grilled items
  • support line checks process and complete prep par sheets every shift
  • prepare all necessary items for their station as needed
  • practice and teach safe and sanitary handling of cutting boards, counter tops, knives, and equipment
  • maintain the proper temperature of equipment and perform station opening, closing and side work duties each shift
  • cooperate with team members to serve guests efficiently
