The Pasta Cook position at California Pizza Kitchen is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about food and eager to join a dynamic, fun team. As a Pasta Cook, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of food quality and sanitation that CPK is known for. You will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of pastas, sandwiches, and grilled items while supporting line checks and completing prep par sheets each shift. This role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to safety and sanitation in handling kitchen equipment. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • three to six months related experience or training
  • availability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • legal authorization to work in the United States

Job Duties

  • Maintain the highest standards for food quality and sanitation
  • assure timely and accurate preparation of pastas, sandwiches, and grilled items
  • support line checks process and complete prep par sheets every shift
  • prepare all necessary items for the station as needed
  • practice and teach safe and sanitary handling of cutting boards, counter tops, knives, and equipment
  • maintain the proper temperature of equipment
  • perform station opening, closing and side work duties each shift
