The role of a Pasta Cook at California Pizza Kitchen involves maintaining the highest standards of food quality and sanitation while preparing a variety of menu items including pastas, sandwiches, and grilled dishes. Pasta Cooks are essential members of the culinary team, responsible for ensuring that food preparation is timely and accurate. This includes supporting line checks, completing preparation par sheets each shift, and making sure that all necessary items are ready for their station. Cooks are committed to practicing and teaching safe and sanitary handling of all kitchen equipment such as cutting boards, countertops, knives, and other tools. They also ensure equipment is kept at proper temperatures and take on opening, closing, and side work tasks each shift.
