The role of a Passenger Service Agent at Horizon Air is a critical frontline position responsible for assisting guests with all aspects of their travel experience. The Passenger Service Agent manages essential duties such as responding to guest inquiries, resolving complaints, and performing various check-in and boarding operations. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. The agent ensures that cabin accommodations are prepared and assists with mishandled guests due to flight disruptions or luggage issues. They also handle seating arrangements, announce boarding procedures, manage upgrades and standby requests, and process and secure guest luggage. Additionally, agents may be assigned other duties by management as necessary to ensure complete guest satisfaction. - Minimum age of 18
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to learn and operate a computerized reservation system
- Typing speed of at least 25 WPM
- Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand for long periods
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, reach and grasp
- Ability to perform basic mathematics
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to participate in paid training that may require overnight travel
- Ability to obtain airport security clearance
- Ability to communicate in English

Job Duties
- Assist guests with travel needs such as answering inquiries, baggage handling, ticketing, checking in passengers, and boarding flights
- Ensure cabin accommodations
- Assist with mishandled guests due to oversold, delayed or cancelled flights, and lost or damaged luggage
- Evaluate and prepare flights by arranging seat assignments, directing guests, making announcements using a PA system, processing upgrades and standby requests
- Process and secure guest luggage and maintain delayed or damaged luggage claims using a data entry system
- Perform duties assigned by management to ensure complete guest satisfaction
- Perform other duties as assigned
