Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous customer service or retail experience
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and early mornings
- ability to stand for long periods of time
- ability to lift heavy boxes and use ladders
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others
- must be able to perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching
- commitment to upholding cleanliness and safety standards
- ability to adapt to a public retail store setting
- willingness to engage with customers of all ages
Job Qualifications
- retail and/or customer service experience
- experience working with children and children’s events
- excellent people skills
- good written, verbal, and nonverbal communication skills
- strong organizational, interpersonal, and creative problem-solving skills
- energetic and enthusiastic personality
Job Duties
- plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
- engage with clients by creating a fun and creative environment
- demonstrate and instruct craft projects and activities such as face painting
- facilitate party add-ons including goody bags and balloons
- communicate effectively with clients and store team members
- complete administrative tasks such as answering emails and making phone calls
- adjust events based on client feedback and ensure client satisfaction
- uphold cleanliness and safety standards before and after events
- assist customers with product selection and provide solutions
- deliver fast and friendly checkout experience
- promote rewards program and private label credit card enrollments
- educate customers on voice of customer survey
- support omni channel processes including buy online pickup in store and ship from store
- participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram duties
- maintain merchandise recovery and store cleanliness
- support shrink and safety programs
- adhere to standard operating procedures and company policies
- interact respectfully and professionally with customers and team members
- cross train in custom framing selling and production
