Job Description

The role of Party Host Attendant at Kroc Center Hawaii is an engaging and dynamic part-time, hourly position that pays $14.00 per hour. This role is based on-call and offers the opportunity to participate actively in community events, primarily focused around the Party Cabanas and other celebration venues within the Center. The Party Host Attendant is responsible for creating fun, safe, and memorable experiences for guests, particularly for children’s birthday parties and other celebratory events. The position requires a person who is energetic, attentive to detail, and dedicated to providing top-quality service that aligns with The Salvation Army's mission of spiritual, emotional, and physical regeneration.
The Party Host Attendant will take ownership of the entire lifecycle of each event, from setup and guest check-in to breakdown and clean-up after the party. This includes preparation of equipment, supplies, and decorations, serving food and beverages, supervising guest safety, and maintaining excellent communication with guests and management. Additionally, this role frequently supports the front desk by assisting with inquiries, membership sales, and program bookings.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience
- Ability to carry heavy trays and lift between 50 to 75 pounds
- Must be available to work weekends and evenings
- Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Must pass a criminal history information check
- TB certificate required
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
- Ability to respond calmly to crisis situations
- Must adhere to organization policies and ethics
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- Customer service experience
- Some food service experience
- Previous experience in child care or working with children is a plus
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties
- Ensure all parties are set up and ready to go prior to guest arrival
- Check-in party guests
- Set the tone of a party by providing a high level of energy, fun and enthusiasm
- Review paperwork, set up and breakdown of equipment, supplies and activities
- Serve food and beverages to guests
- Respond quickly to requests from members, guests, supervisors or management
- Supervise flow and safety of Party Cabana areas and other party areas
- Remain visible and available to the needs of guests and be key contact point for client throughout party
- Work to ensure guest satisfaction, problem solving and notifying appropriate personnel
- Inventory party supplies and prepare gift bags, balloons, signage and decorations
- Clean and reset party area after guests have left
- Assist front desk with inquiries, membership sales, booking programs and customer service
- Adhere to The Salvation Army Policies and Procedures
- Maintain the Code of Ethics policy for Kroc Center Hawaii
- Attend staff and administrative meetings
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Perform other duties as assigned
