Founded in 1973 and headquartered in Irving, Texas, Michaels operates over 1,300 stores across 49 states and Canada, alongside a robust online presence at Michaels.com and Michaels.ca. Michaels also owns Artistree, a manufacturer that specializes in custom and specialty framing merchandise, further expanding its footprint in the creative retail market.

Working at Michaels means being part of a vibrant, customer-focused retail environment dedicated to making creative projects accessible and enjoyable for all. The company’s mission is to provide exceptional shopping experiences that foster creativity and joy, which is reflected in its team culture and service standards. Michaels is committed to diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity, providing a supportive workplace where all associates can thrive and contribute to their fullest potential.

The role at the Michaels store in LA-Studio City, CA focuses on event coordination and exceptional customer service. This position is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about creativity, organization, and providing memorable experiences for guests. The role is also hands-on with operational tasks such as truck unloading, stocking, planogram processes, merchandise recovery, and maintaining store standards to uphold the brand promise.

This job is suited for individuals who enjoy a fast-paced retail environment and have experience working with children and managing children’s events, demonstrating creativity and leadership. It requires excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to remain positive and professional during high-stress situations. The physical demands of the role include standing for long periods, moving throughout the store, lifting boxes, and performing repetitive tasks. Michaels ensures safety and accessibility, offering accommodations as needed to qualified individuals.

The position offers an hourly wage range from $18.42 to $21.40, with the potential for overtime pay as governed by local and state laws. Michaels provides competitive benefits including health insurance, 401(k) with employer match, employee assistance programs, tuition assistance, paid time off, and employee discounts. As an equal opportunity employer, Michaels is dedicated to fostering an inclusive workplace that respects and values diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
