This role, located at the Michaels store in Oceanside, CA, offers an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about customer service and event coordination within a retail arts and crafts environment. The position involves planning, coordinating, and facilitating various events, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes. The goal is to provide guests with a fun, stress-free, and engaging experience that enhances their visit to the store. The position integrates customer service responsibilities with behind-the-scenes operational tasks, making it a dynamic and varied role.

As an Event Coordinator at Michaels, you will be instrumental in managing multiple events simultaneously and creating memorable experiences for guests of all ages, from children to seniors. Your role will include guiding participants through creative projects, offering specials like face painting, managing event logistics, and ensuring client satisfaction. Communication with clients and team members will be essential, as you coordinate and adjust plans based on feedback. Administrative duties such as answering emails, making calls, and completing paperwork will support smooth event execution.

Moreover, the position requires assisting customers on the floor by helping them find products, delivering a fast and friendly checkout, and promoting Michaels' rewards and credit card programs. The job also entails participating in inventory and merchandising operations like truck unloading, stocking, and planogram maintenance.
