The role available is a Part-Time Event Coordinator position located at the BUFF-Amherst, NY store. This exciting position involves planning, coordinating, and facilitating various events within the Michaels retail environment, with a special focus on children's birthday parties and craft classes. The coordinator plays a critical role in creating a stress-free, enjoyable, and engaging experience for guests of all ages, from young children to seniors, by fostering an inviting atmosphere that encourages creativity and fun. The responsibilities include managing multiple events simultaneously, demonstrating craft projects, performing face painting, and handling event add-ons such as goody bags and balloons. Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating with clients and store team members, completing administrative tasks, and adjusting event plans based on customer feedback to ensure high satisfaction.

Beyond event coordination, the position requires delivering exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers in finding products, providing solutions, and facilitating a smooth checkout experience.
