Founded in 1973 and headquartered in Irving, Texas, Michaels operates over 1,300 stores across 49 states and Canada, along with a comprehensive online presence at Michaels.com and Michaels.ca. This renowned retail giant is also the owner of Artistree, a manufacturer of custom and specialty framing merchandise, blending creative spirit with business expertise to provide customers with quality products and unique crafting experiences. Michaels fosters an environment where creativity and celebration are at the heart of everything they do, appealing to millions of customers and offering a diverse range of products and services tailored to crafting enthusiasts.

The Event Coordinator also participates in inventory processes, including truck unloading, stocking, merchandise recovery, and implementing store cleanliness and safety standards. Furthermore, this role requires the capability to manage operational tasks like completing administrative duties (emails, phone calls, paperwork) related to events and store functions, showcasing organizational skills and the ability to adapt plans based on customer feedback.

Working at Michaels includes cross-training across various store functions, including custom framing selling and production, and supporting store initiatives such as the Voice of Customer surveys and Rewards programs, which enhance customer engagement and loyalty. The environment involves physical activity, including standing for long periods, moving around the store, handling merchandise, and sometimes working in climate-controlled areas or stockrooms. The role requires excellent communication skills, patience, creativity, and the ability to interact positively with customers and team members, even under stress.

Michaels is dedicated to supporting its employees by providing a range of benefits, including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision), paid time off, tuition assistance, and employee discounts, making it an attractive workplace for individuals passionate about creativity and customer service.
