The company also owns Artistree, a manufacturer of custom and specialty framing merchandise. Michaels is recognized as the best place for all things creative, prioritizing the joy of artistry, the celebration of life’s moments, and the empowerment of customers and employees alike to explore their creative passions. This particular role based in the Hart-Avon, CT store involves planning, coordinating, and facilitating events, including children's birthday parties and various craft classes, to provide a fun, engaging, and stress-free experience for guests. The Event Coordinator plays a significant role in creating a lively environment where creativity is encouraged among community members of all ages, from kids to seniors. Alongside event management duties, the position requires delivering exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers, offering expertise in store products, and ensuring a smooth and pleasant shopping experience from entry through checkout.

Candidates will demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills, adeptly managing multiple tasks ranging from event logistics to administrative duties such as communication and paperwork. The position demands the ability to adapt to client feedback, create contingency plans for events, and ensure client satisfaction through attentive, personalized service. Michaels offers robust benefits to its team members, including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, tuition assistance, and employee discounts, making it a supportive place to grow professionally while contributing to a creative community. The base pay for this position ranges from $16.94 to $19.70 per hour, reflecting the company’s commitment to fair compensation for dedicated team members.
