This role is based in the Denver-Highlands Ranch, Colorado store and involves planning, coordinating, and facilitating events such as children's birthday parties within the store setting. The Event Coordinator position focuses on creating a stress-free, enjoyable, and engaging experience for customers of all ages while ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service. The coordinator provides hands-on support during events by leading craft projects, performing activities like face painting, and managing event logistics including party add-ons like goody bags and balloons. The role also includes administrative duties such as managing communications, responding to emails, adjusting event plans according to client feedback, and ensuring overall client satisfaction.

In addition to event coordination, this position demands a strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service by assisting customers with product selection, facilitating smooth checkout experiences, and promoting company programs such as rewards and private label credit card enrollments. The position requires involvement in operational store functions like unloading trucks, stocking merchandise, maintaining display settings, and supporting shrink and safety programs. The candidate will be cross-trained in custom framing sales and production to enhance their versatility within the store team.

This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, creativity, and the ability to handle interactions with customers and coworkers professionally and positively under various circumstances. The position requires a physical ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform tasks that involve bending, reaching, and using equipment like ladders safely. The work environment is primarily a public retail setting with climate-controlled areas, occasional outdoor duties, and possible exposure to heat press equipment in the framing department.

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events simultaneously including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
  • Engage clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity
  • Demonstrate and instruct craft projects and perform activities like face painting
  • Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons according to company standards
  • Communicate event details with clients and store team members
  • Complete administrative tasks including answering emails, phone calls, and paperwork
  • Adjust event plans based on client feedback and create backup plans
  • Ensure client satisfaction for all scheduled events
  • Uphold company cleanliness and safety standards before, during, and after events
  • Assist customers in locating products and providing solutions
  • Provide fast and friendly checkout experiences
  • Promote rewards program and credit card enrollments
  • Educate customers on customer feedback surveys
  • Support omni channel processes including buy online pickup in store and ship from store
  • Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes
  • Maintain merchandise recovery and store appearance
  • Support shrink and safety programs
  • Cross-train in custom framing selling and production
  • Participate in daily store cleanliness activities
