Job Requirements
- Ability to remain standing for long periods
- Ability to move throughout the store
- Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching
- Ability to lift heavy boxes and use ladders or similar equipment
- Must satisfy federal, state, and local legal job requirements
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and early mornings in a retail environment
- Willingness to participate in store safety and cleanliness activities
Job Qualifications
- Experience working with children and children’s events
- Excellent people skills and ability to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Strong communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal
- Organizational, interpersonal, and creative problem-solving skills
- Retail and/or customer service experience
- Ability to handle job stress and maintain a positive attitude
- Energetic and enthusiastic personality
Job Duties
- Plan and coordinate multiple events including children's birthday parties and craft classes
- Engage with clients of varied ages by creating a fun, creative atmosphere
- Demonstrate and instruct participants in craft projects and party activities
- Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons
- Communicate effectively with clients and store team members
- Complete administrative tasks including emails, calls, and paperwork
- Adjust plans based on client feedback and create backup plans
- Ensure client satisfaction and uphold cleanliness and safety standards before and after events
- Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
- Provide fast and friendly checkout experiences
- Promote Rewards program and Private Label Credit Card enrollments
- Educate customers on Voice of Customer (VOC) surveys
- Assist with Omni channel processes like Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
- Participate in truck unloading, stocking and planogram processes
- Complete merchandise recovery and store maintenance
- Support shrink and safety programs
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and ensure compliance
- Maintain a positive, respectful work atmosphere
- Cross train in Custom Framing selling and production
- Participate in daily store cleanliness activities
