The position available is located at the Michaels store in Louisville-Hurstbourne, KY, and involves a unique blend of event coordination and customer service responsibilities. This role is designed for a dynamic individual who is passionate about engaging with customers of all ages and bringing creative events to life. The primary focus will be on planning, coordinating, and facilitating a variety of events, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes, ensuring a stress-free, fun, and memorable experience for guests. In this position, the candidate will be responsible for managing multiple events simultaneously, maintaining high standards of customer interaction and store presentation. Duties span from engaging directly with party participants to coordinating event logistics such as party add-ons, client communications, and administrative functions including email correspondence and paperwork. The role also entails supporting operational store tasks such as unloading trucks, merchandising, merchandise recovery, checkout assistance, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. Candidates must be able to adapt plans based on client feedback, develop contingency plans, and ensure overall client satisfaction.

The role requires a high level of interpersonal skills, creativity, and organizational abilities. Experience working with children and managing children’s events is essential, along with a friendly, energetic demeanor that ensures every customer experience is positive and welcoming. The candidate should also be comfortable working in a fast-paced retail setting, performing physical tasks such as lifting, stocking, and maintaining store appearance.
