This part-time position available at the WOR-MILLBURY, MA store focuses on event coordination and customer service roles designed to create memorable and engaging experiences for guests. The Event Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and facilitating a diverse range of events within the store, including children's birthday parties, craft classes, and other creative gatherings. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that events run smoothly, are fun, and stress-free for participants. The coordinator directly engages with guests spanning a broad age range, from young children to older adults, fostering an environment of creativity and enjoyment. Duties include demonstrating craft projects, performing activities like face painting, managing event add-ons such as goody bags and balloons, and communicating effectively with clients and team members to uphold company standards.

In addition to event management, the role entails delivering outstanding customer service by assisting shoppers in finding products, providing solutions, facilitating a fast and friendly checkout process, and educating customers about loyalty and credit programs. Operational tasks are also a key component of this job, including unloading trucks, stocking merchandise, maintaining store recovery standards, and supporting shrink and safety programs. This position requires the ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and move throughout the store efficiently. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children's birthday parties and other craft classes or events
  • Engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity
  • Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects and activities such as face painting
  • Facilitate and implement party add-ons like goody bags and balloons
  • Communicate effectively with clients and store team members
  • Complete administrative tasks including emails, phone calls, and paperwork
  • Adjust event plans based on client feedback and needs
  • Create backup or emergency plans as needed
  • Ensure client satisfaction for all scheduled events
  • Uphold cleanliness and safety standards before, during, and after events
  • Assist customers in shopping and locating products
  • Provide fast and friendly checkout experiences
  • Promote the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards
  • Educate customers on Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
  • Support Omni channel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
  • Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes
  • Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance
  • Perform Store in Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties
  • Support shrink and safety programs
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and company policies
  • Interact respectfully with customers and team members
  • Cross-trained in Custom Framing selling and production
  • Participate in daily store cleanliness activities such as sweeping and dusting
  • Perform other duties as assigned
