This particular role is based in the Tucson-Irvington, AZ store and is designed for a part-time team member dedicated to planning, coordinating, and facilitating events within the store, including children’s birthday parties, craft classes, and various other creative events. The position requires a blend of customer service skills, event coordination expertise, and operational support to ensure that every event delivers a memorable and stress-free experience to guests of all ages, from young children to older adults. As an Event Coordinator and Store Team Member, the individual will be expected to engage customers with friendly and knowledgeable service, assist them with locating products and checking out quickly, and support daily store operations such as truck unloading, stocking, and maintaining merchandise presentation.
The role emphasizes creativity, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to adapt plans based on client feedback to meet and exceed expectations. Strong communication skills are essential since the coordinator will need to interface with clients, store team members, and participate in administrative tasks like email correspondence and phone calls. In addition to facilitating fun and engaging craft projects, this role requires maintaining company standards for safety and cleanliness before, during, and after events. Job Duties
- Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children's birthday parties and other craft classes or events
- Engage with clients of all ages, creating an environment of fun and creativity
- Demonstrate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects, face painting, and other activities
- Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons according to company standards
- Communicate events with clients and store team members
- Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and paperwork
- Adjust plans and events based on client feedback and needs
- Create backup or emergency plans
- Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events
- Uphold company cleanliness and safety standards, including setup and cleanup before and after each event
- Help customers shop and locate products
- Provide fast and friendly checkout experience
- Engage customers on benefits of rewards programs and credit cards and complete enrollments
- Educate customers on Voice of Customer survey
- Assist with online shopping processes such as Buy Online Pickup In Store and Ship From Store
- Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram duties
- Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance
- Perform Store in Stock Optimization and AD set duties as assigned
- Support shrink and safety programs
- Adhere to SOPs and company policies ensuring compliance
- Interact respectfully with others and project a positive image
- Cross-train in custom framing selling and production
- Participate in daily store cleanliness activities
