The role available at the S. Ant-Alamo Quarry, TX location is a part-time position focused on event coordination and customer experience within the store. This position is ideal for an energetic and enthusiastic individual who enjoys planning and coordinating memorable events, such as children's birthday parties and craft classes. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple events simultaneously, engaging clients of all ages in fun and creative activities, and delivering a seamless and enjoyable experience for all guests. In addition to event coordination, this role involves delivering exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their shopping needs, helping them find products, and ensuring a fast and friendly checkout experience. The position requires the individual to perform various operational duties, including truck unloading, stocking merchandise, maintaining store standards, and supporting safety and shrink programs. Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt based on customer feedback are essential to succeed in this dynamic environment.
The event coordination duties include planning and executing craft projects, party add-ons like goody bags and balloons, and handling administrative tasks such as managing client communications and paperwork. The employee is also expected to uphold company cleanliness and safety standards by setting up, breaking down, and cleaning before and after events. Customer experience responsibilities encompass helping customers shop, promoting rewards programs and private label credit cards, managing buy online pickup in store (BOPIS) and ship from store (SFS) processes, and supporting the custom framing sales and production areas. Physical requirements include the ability to stand for long periods, move throughout the store, lift heavy boxes, and use ladders safely. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in retail or customer service
- Experience working with children’s events preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and events simultaneously
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and move throughout the store
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and early mornings

Job Duties
- Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
- Engage clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity
- Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects and activities such as face painting
- Facilitate and implement party add-ons like goody bags and balloons to company standards
- Communicate event details with clients and store team members
- Complete administrative tasks including answering emails, phone calls, and paperwork
- Adjust plans based on client feedback and create backup plans
- Ensure client satisfaction and uphold cleanliness and safety standards before, during, and after events
- Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
- Provide fast and friendly checkout experience
- Promote rewards programs and credit card enrollments
- Educate customers on surveys and assist with online order processes
- Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and merchandise recovery
- Support shrink and safety programs and adhere to company policies
