The Parts Runner position at MasTec plays a vital role in supporting the construction teams by managing the logistical needs related to materials and equipment. This is a full-time, hourly role with compensation set at $18.00 per hour. The Parts Runner is responsible for picking up and delivering equipment, parts, and supplies to and from job sites, vendors, and the Corporate Equipment Center, ensuring timely and organized material flow to facilitate smooth project operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders including supervisors, project managers, and construction crews.

In this role, the Parts Runner will navigate various suppliers and construction sites, safely operating company vehicles while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. This position requires maintaining accurate delivery records, managing inventory logistics, and helping maintain a safe and productive work environment. Additional responsibilities include assisting with general support tasks such as loading, unloading, and cleanup efforts. The candidate must be self-motivated, reliable in attending scheduled work times, and capable of problem-solving logistical challenges proactively.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license with ability to pass an annual MVR
  • Ability to perform duties safely and timely adhering to traffic laws
  • Ability to read and comprehend safety, operating, and procedure documents

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Job Duties

  • Pick up and deliver equipment, parts, and supplies to and from job sites, vendors, and the Corporate Equipment Center
  • Organize and store materials in designated areas on job sites to keep them accessible
  • Maintain clear communication with supervisors, project managers, and construction crews regarding material needs and delivery status
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws while performing job duties
  • Proactively address issues related to material deliveries and inventory management
  • Keep accurate records of material deliveries including quantities, types, and delivery dates
  • Provide general support to construction teams including cleanup, loading, and unloading materials
  • Perform other duties as assigned
