Job Description

Spartan is a globally recognized leader in endurance sports and a high-growth international organization that specializes in organizing mass-participation athletic events. The company operates under several prestigious brands including Spartan®, Tough Mudder®, Spartan Trail®, Hurricane Heat, and DEKA. Spartan is committed to offering a wide range of fitness, health, and nutrition services and products that empower people, companies, and teams to push beyond their limits and achieve remarkable feats. Combining large-scale global events with a vibrant digital content and community platform, Spartan has cemented its position as the world’s foremost extreme wellness and endurance brand, hosting 250 events in more than 40 countries across six continents.

The Partnership Event Coordinator role is located in Boston, MA, with a requirement for frequent travel to various event locations. This full-time position resides within the Sponsorship department and reports directly to the Manager of Partnership Event Services. The core responsibility of the Partnership Event Coordinator is to serve as the onsite operational lead for the seamless execution, quality control, and delivery of all partnership activations across Spartan, Tough Mudder, and DEKA events. This pivotal role demands attention to detail in transforming contractual partner commitments into fully executed onsite experiences that deliver value for both the partners and the organization.

An ideal candidate for the Partnership Event Coordinator position will possess a robust background in event and/or account management, particularly in activating major events. The role requires a blend of strategic and creative thinking skills, combined with the hands-on capability to provide flawless execution under often fast-paced and dynamic event conditions. The coordinator will oversee partner deliverables onsite, manage inventories, support exhibitor and vendor onboarding, and collaborate closely with Spartan’s Production and Logistics teams to ensure that every activation meets established operational standards.

Further responsibilities include maintaining effective communication and relationship management with multiple brands and partner agencies, managing internal calendars, assisting with post-event reporting and feedback collection to support partnership growth and innovation, and participating in regular partnership and event production meetings. The role also entails liaising potentially with internal and external sales and partnership development teams to develop new marketing and promotional packages, thus playing a strategic role in expanding Spartan’s partnership opportunities.

Spartan prides itself on being a high-performance organization that fosters innovation, teamwork, and a service-oriented mindset. Team members must demonstrate a strong work ethic, adaptability in a rapidly changing environment, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects while maintaining a high level of accountability and professionalism. The organization highly values proactive and solution-oriented approaches to business challenges and encourages cooperative work styles and exceptional communication both verbally and in writing.

This position comes with a salary of $45,000 per year, reflecting Spartan's commitment to attracting qualified professionals passionate about endurance sports and event management. Working at Spartan offers not only the opportunity to grow within an exciting and innovative company but also the chance to contribute to life-changing experiences that inspire people worldwide.
