The Partner Manager role at NetApp, based in New York City, is a pivotal position focused on fostering and sustaining productive relationships with key partners, including VARs, resellers, and other technology collaborators. This role is critical to driving product and service sales by aligning partner strategies with NetApp's business objectives, enhancing partner preference for NetApp's innovative data solutions. The Partner Manager will serve as the main liaison between partners and NetApp, actively engaging in joint business planning, coordinating marketing initiatives, and activating sales strategies to drive mutual growth. Success in this role demands a strong ability to analyze partnership data, manage complex relationships, and maintain a sales-driven focus to achieve or exceed revenue targets. Candidates must reside in the greater New York City area and be available to work onsite up to two times a week, embracing a hybrid work model that fosters collaboration and connectivity. Offering a competitive salary range of $253,300 to $327,800 based on experience and location, this position includes an on-target earnings (OTE) structure combining base pay and commission. Job Requirements

  • Reside in the greater New York City area
  • Ability to travel and be in front of partners, attend events and partner office hours
  • At least 8 years of experience in B2B technology sales
  • Experience with VAR, reseller, or partner environments
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with 1-2 days onsite per week

Job Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of experience in B2B technology sales, with recent experience in a VAR, reseller, or partner environment
  • Proven success in achieving or exceeding sales targets in the B2B tech space
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to analyze data and develop strategic business plans
  • Experience working cross-functionally with sales, technical, and marketing teams
  • Proficiency in managing partner relationships and driving joint sales initiatives

Job Duties

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned partners, working to understand their business needs and aligning NetApp solutions to meet those needs
  • Act as the main NetApp contact to facilitate collaborative business growth
  • Collaborate with partners to develop and execute joint business plans aimed at driving sales growth and increasing partner commitment to NetApp products
  • Work closely with NetApp’s internal teams, including sales, technical, and marketing teams, to ensure alignment on partner objectives and maximize joint sales opportunities
  • Partner with NetApp’s marketing team to create and roll out sales and marketing initiatives that promote lead generation and strengthen partner preference for NetApp solutions
  • Navigate complex conversations and manage partner concerns professionally, representing NetApp effectively in a variety of settings
