Northampton Country Club is a prestigious, medium-sized private club that offers a refined dining experience to its members. Situated in a welcoming community, the Club operates six days a week year-round, providing various dining options including upscale, banquet, casual, and grab-and-go styles. The Club's back of house team plays a crucial role in the overall success by ensuring that food preparation, presentation, and sanitation standards meet the high expectations of both members and guests.
We are currently seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our back of house team. This key role involves preparing food items, setting up service stations, and maintaining cleanliness and organization to support smooth dining operations across multiple service areas. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef to meet established portion and presentation standards while adhering to all applicable health and safety regulations. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior kitchen or food service experience preferred
- Ability to work six days a week including weekends
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to follow instructions and comply with health and safety regulations
- Reliable and punctual
- Basic math skills required
Job Qualifications
- ServSafe certification preferred
- Prior experience working in a kitchen or food service environment preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and work under the supervision of the Sous Chef
- Strong attention to detail in food preparation and presentation
- Knowledge of health and safety standards
- Good communication skills
- Team-oriented mindset
Job Duties
- Prepare all required items for service
- Set up service units with needed items
- Serve items in accordance with established portions and presentation standards
- Notify Sous Chef of expected shortages
- Ensure assigned workspace and equipment are clean and sanitary
- Set up, maintain and break down assigned station
- Requisition items needed to produce menu items
- Adhere to state and local health and safety regulations
- Assist with other duties as instructed by the Sous Chef
