Currently, GardaWorld is hiring for the role of Surveillance Security Officer at their site location in Bridgeport, CT. This part-time position is scheduled for Friday and Saturday from 7 PM to 3 AM and Thursday to Friday during the same hours, providing an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking flexible work hours. The hourly wage for this role is competitive at $18.54, with the additional option of DailyPay for employees who prefer to access their earnings daily. GardaWorld also provides a uniform at no cost to ensure that all security officers maintain a professional appearance.

The Surveillance Security Officer plays a critical role in monitoring security systems such as CCTV and access controls to detect any suspicious activity or potential threats before they escalate. The officer is responsible for meticulously observing a series of screens and electronic systems within environments like security operations centers, call centers, and parking gatehouses. Exceptional attention to detail and sharp observation skills are essential to identify and respond quickly to any incidents. The officer also conducts regular patrols, controls access to secure areas, verifies visitor identities, documents observed events and incidents in detailed reports, and collaborates with law enforcement when necessary.

Candidates are expected to have experience using CCTV and access control systems, strong report writing abilities, and proficiency with technology. GardaWorld welcomes individuals with backgrounds in security, military, or law enforcement, and having a state security license is advantageous if required by local regulations. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S., possess a high school diploma or GED, and successfully pass an extensive screening process including a background check and drug screening.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience using CCTV and access control systems
  • Ability to successfully complete background check and drug screening
  • Strong observation and concentration skills
