As a member of The Terraces of Boise dining team, the role of Wait Staff is integral to the daily operations that contribute to resident comfort and satisfaction. This is a part-time position, scheduled from 4 PM to 7:30 PM with rotating days and mandatory weekend availability. Compensation for this role ranges from $15 to $18 per hour, dependent upon the candidate's experience. The Wait Staff's responsibilities extend beyond basic food service duties; they play a critical role in creating a welcoming dining experience for residents by providing attentive and courteous service. Primary duties include setting up and working on the trayline, serving food efficiently and cheerfully, washing dishes and utensils, bussing tables to maintain cleanliness, preparing salads, desserts, and garnishes, and ensuring the overall cleanliness of dining and food service areas.

This role demands a strong customer service orientation with the ability to anticipate and respond to the unique needs of senior residents. Wait Staff members greet residents and guests promptly, inform them about daily specials, assist with meal service including refilling beverages, and accommodate special requests to enhance each dining occasion. The role requires flexibility and reliability, with evening, weekend, and holiday shifts necessary to support operational needs. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in customer service or food service environments and preferably some background working with seniors. Certifications such as Food Handler’s or ServSafe are advantageous but not mandatory. Teens interested in applying are welcomed, subject to local regulations.
