Porters Neck Village is currently seeking a part-time Utility Worker/Dishwasher to join their dedicated Food and Beverage Department team. This role centers around maintaining kitchen operations that support the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization. The Utility Worker/Dishwasher will be responsible for diverse duties ranging from pot washing, dish washing, and general cleaning to managing food and non-food supplies properly. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to understand direction in English
  • Ability to walk/stand for 100% of the work day
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 35lbs independently and push/pull carts and trays weighing up to 100lbs
  • Minimum of one year restaurant/senior living or equivalent experience

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 35lbs independently and push/pull carts and trays up to 100lbs
  • Minimum of one year restaurant, senior living or equivalent experience

Job Duties

  • Exemplify community standards of cleanliness, sanitation and operational organization
  • Set up the dish and pot washing area
  • Prepare for dish washing and wash pots, dishes and utensils
  • Clean and sanitize production equipment, work surfaces and kitchen areas including mopping and sweeping according to cleaning schedules
  • Empty trash containers as required
  • Assist with meal deliveries and delivery process as needed
  • Work buffet line as needed
  • Train in prep cook area as time allows
  • Maintain standards for personal appearance and cleanliness, maintain orderly, safe, sanitary and secure work area
  • Follow all established safety and quality control procedures
