Job Description
Valet Living is a well-established essential service company specializing in providing high-quality amenity services to apartment communities across the country. Recognized for its dedication to enhancing residents' living experiences, Valet Living offers a range of services including trash collection, package delivery, and cleaning services designed to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming environments. As a company that prioritizes employee well-being and growth, Valet Living is committed to offering flexible work schedules, competitive pay, and opportunities for advancement within a vibrant and supportive team culture.
The Apartment Trash Collector (Service Valet) position at Valet Living is a unique, part-time role designed for individuals seeking flexible evening work hours in their local area. This job provides the perfect opportunity whether you are looking to supplement your income or earn extra money alongside another employment. By working typically 3-5 nights per week with shifts starting at 7:00 pm or 8:00 pm, you have the freedom to maintain a balanced schedule while being active. The role involves using your personal truck or vehicle with a trailer to collect trash bags placed by apartment residents at their doorsteps and transporting those bags to an onsite trash compactor. Importantly, the work does not involve handling large or bulk items nor does it require offsite driving or dumping, making the task more manageable and streamlined.
This position offers an hourly wage of $18.00 and rewards associates who bring their own pickup trucks or vehicles with trailers by offering pay towards the higher end of the range. Valet Living also provides convenient options like DailyPay, allowing associates to get paid daily via an app, enhancing financial flexibility. The role actively encourages staying physically active and healthy while performing the job outdoors, blending work and fitness. Valet Living’s continued growth and status as an essential business mean reliable working hours, consistent pay, and career advancement opportunities are on the horizon for motivated team members.
Employees can benefit from a supportive environment including employee referral bonuses, a recognition and rewards program, and tuition reimbursement. Additionally, the company promotes immediate start dates, allowing hires to begin earning income quickly. Safety remains a top priority, and Valet Living provides Personal Protective Equipment such as face coverings, gloves, and safety vests to ensure that all associates work in a secure and healthy environment.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess a reliable open-bed pickup truck or vehicle with a trailer, a valid driver's license, and auto insurance. The role requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds, walk distances on properties, and endure various outdoor weather conditions and odors. Flexibility to climb stairs multiple times in a shift is also necessary. The job demands smartphone ownership to utilize the company’s app for tracking and communication. No prior experience is required as comprehensive hands-on paid training is provided starting from day one.
Valet Living is an Equal Opportunity Employer that embraces diversity and inclusion. The company offers reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities throughout the hiring process, fostering an equitable workplace. This ongoing recruitment provides an ideal chance to engage in meaningful, community-centered work that balances flexibility, fitness, and fair pay.
