Job Description

Valet Living is a distinguished service company specializing in creating clean and welcoming environments for apartment communities across the United States. Renowned for their commitment to excellence and community well-being, Valet Living provides a variety of residential services designed to enhance the quality of life for residents. The company prides itself on fostering a team-oriented culture that values hard work, reliability, and diversity, ensuring that each employee feels supported and appreciated. Valet Living is an Equal Opportunity Employer that embraces inclusion and promotes equal opportunities without regard to race, religion, creed, color, national origin, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected status. They are also proactive in providing reasonable accommodations during the hiring process to ensure accessibility for all applicants.

This part-time role as a Trash Collector, also referred to as a Service Valet, offers a unique opportunity for individuals seeking a physically active job that provides flexibility and extra income. Valet Living is currently hiring part-time Trash Collectors to maintain cleanliness within apartment communities by collecting trash and recycling bags from residents’ doorsteps and transporting them to an on-site trash compactor. This role is distinctly designed to avoid heavy lifting of bulk items, off-site driving, or the need to dump trash elsewhere, making it a focused and manageable position for candidates with the appropriate vehicle.

To successfully perform this job, candidates must have a personal and reliable means of transportation, specifically an open-bed pickup truck or another vehicle capable of hauling a trailer. The position also requires the use of a smartphone with a data plan to operate Valet Living’s proprietary mobile application, used to log arrival, departure, tracking, and non-compliance photos as part of daily service activities. Working hours are typically in the evening from Sunday through Thursday, generally starting at either 7:00 PM or 8:00 PM, allowing participants to fit work seamlessly into their schedules. Employees can expect to work approximately 10 to 15 hours or more per week, with assignments usually located close to where they live to minimize commute times.

Physically, this role involves walking long distances around apartment properties, climbing multiple flights of stairs regularly, and working outdoors in all weather conditions. Candidates should be comfortable handling bagged trash and waste materials and be capable of lifting and carrying loads of up to 50 pounds. This combination of physical activity and flexible scheduling makes the Trash Collector position ideal for those who enjoy staying active and earning extra income after primary work hours.

Valet Living emphasizes safety by providing necessary protective gear such as gloves, safety vests, and other equipment to ensure employees can perform their duties securely. The company also values career growth opportunities, offering pathways to leadership roles within the organization. Employees benefit from fast-access pay through DailyPay, which lets them access their earnings quickly, plus referral bonuses for recommending new team members. This role is perfectly suited for motivated individuals who wish to contribute to maintaining attractive and healthy living environments in their communities while enjoying meaningful part-time work with an established company.
