The cashier and stocker positions are part-time, generally involving fewer than 30 hours per week, offering flexibility for those balancing other commitments such as school or family. Starting wages for these roles are $20.50 per hour, with scheduled wage increases over the years to reward loyalty and performance. Cashiers at ALDI provide friendly and efficient checkout service, ensuring all transactions are handled quickly and accurately using the point-of-sale system, while also adhering to company cash policies. They assist with curbside pickup services, ensuring customers receive their orders timely and correctly. Meanwhile, stockers are responsible for keeping shelves fully stocked and well-organized, following merchandising guidelines to maximize product visibility and sales. Stockers must be able to start shifts early, sometimes as early as 5:00 a.m., to prepare the store for the day. Both roles require physical activity such as lifting products up to 45 pounds, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods. Employees are expected to help maintain store cleanliness, uphold safety standards, and support operational goals including loss prevention and inventory management. Job Requirements

At least 18 years old required
high school diploma or equivalent preferred
prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 45 pounds, standing for extended periods, and operating store equipment
ability to work early morning shifts for stockers
ability to follow all company policies and safety procedures
ability to work fewer than 30 hours per week

Job Duties

Models and fulfills all customer service principles and escalates concerns to store management as necessary
assists store management in achieving operational efficiency goals
assists store management in achieving total loss goals
complies with all established company policies and processes
supports store management in providing a safe working environment by identifying and rectifying hazards, ensuring proper ergonomics, and maintaining equipment in proper working order
maintains store zones standards and merchandising standards at all times
adheres to inventory procedures and product handling guidelines
performs general cleaning tasks to company standards
properly utilizes the point-of-sale system to accurately scan and process customer purchases and informs store management of scanning concerns or errors
adheres to cash policies and procedures
follows the line policy and opens additional check lanes as required to ensure an efficient checkout
completes curbside pickup orders by accurately retrieving items from the store, verifying order contents, and ensuring timely delivery to customers’ vehicles from the staging area
stocks shelves and displays neatly while following merchandising planograms to maximize sales
attends work as early as 5:00 a.m. for stocker shifts
lifts, carries, and places product weighing up to 45 pounds on shelves at various heights, including overhead
operates equipment such as cash registers, electric and manual hand jacks, floor scrubber and cardboard baler
