As a part-time cashier, candidates will be responsible for providing friendly and efficient checkout service by properly operating the point-of-sale (POS) system, adhering to cash policies, and ensuring seamless transaction processes. These employees also play a critical role in supporting curbside pickup by verifying orders and delivering items properly to customers' vehicles. Meanwhile, stockers are essential in keeping store shelves fully stocked and organized by following merchandising planograms to maximize sales and maintain visual appeal. Stockers must be comfortable with early morning shifts, arriving as early as 5:00 a.m., and handling physical tasks such as lifting and placing products that may weigh up to 45 pounds in various temperature environments, including freezers and coolers.
Both roles require team members to adhere to ALDI's operational, safety, and inventory procedures, maintain store cleanliness and merchandising standards, and assist management in achieving operational efficiency and total loss reduction goals. Physical demands include pushing, pulling, standing, bending, and operating equipment like cash registers, floor scrubbers, pallet jacks, and cardboard balers.

Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
- ability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc.
- ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures
- ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- ability to perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail

Job Duties
- Model and fulfill all customer service principles and escalate concerns to store management as necessary
- assist store management in achieving operational efficiency goals
- assist store management in achieving total loss goals
- comply with all established company policies and processes
- support store management in providing a safe working environment by identifying and rectifying hazards, ensuring proper ergonomics, and maintaining equipment in proper working order
- maintain store zones standards and merchandising standards at all times
- adhere to inventory procedures and product handling guidelines
- perform general cleaning tasks to company standards
- properly utilize the point-of-sale (POS) system to accurately scan and process customer purchases and inform store management of scanning concerns or errors
- adhere to cash policies and procedures
- follow the line policy and open additional check lanes as required to ensure an efficient checkout
- complete curbside pickup orders by accurately retrieving items from the store, verifying order contents, and ensuring timely delivery to customers’ vehicles from the staging area
- stock shelves and displays neatly while following merchandising planograms to maximize sales
- stockers must be able to arrive to work as early as 5:00am
