The company is currently seeking enthusiastic individuals for part-time positions as cashiers and stockers at their stores. These roles are vital to the smooth operation of the store and have a direct influence on customer satisfaction. As a part-time cashier, you will be responsible for delivering efficient and friendly checkout service, ensuring that purchases are correctly scanned and payments processed. This position requires handling the point-of-sale (POS) system with accuracy, adhering to cash handling policies, and managing checkout lanes according to customer flow. Additionally, part-time cashiers may assist with completing curbside pickup orders, ensuring that customer orders are accurately retrieved and delivered in a timely manner.
Alternatively, the part-time stocker role focuses on maintaining well-stocked and organized shelves according to merchandising guidelines. Stockers play an important part in inventory procedures and store presentation, helping customers find products easily and keeping the store clean and safe. This role is physically demanding and requires early start times, making it well-suited for energetic individuals who are comfortable with lifting and shelving products, including in varying temperature environments such as freezers and coolers.
Both roles demand a strong commitment to ALDI’s customer service principles, operational policies, and safety standards. Candidates must be able to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrate good communication skills, and maintain reliability and punctuality. The positions offer fewer than 30 hours per week with a starting wage of $19.50 per hour, with wage increases over subsequent years up to $21.50 per hour in the fifth year. - Ability to meet availability requirements
- At least 18 years old required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred

Job Duties
- Models and fulfills all customer service principles and escalates concerns to store management as necessary
- Assists store management in achieving operational efficiency goals
- Assists store management in achieving total loss goals
- Complies with all established company policies and processes
- Supports store management in providing a safe working environment by identifying and rectifying hazards ensuring proper ergonomics and maintaining equipment in proper working order
- Maintains store zones standards and merchandising standards at all times
- Adheres to inventory procedures and product handling guidelines
- Performs general cleaning tasks to company standards
- Properly utilizes the point-of-sale (POS) system to accurately scan and process customer purchases and informs store management of scanning concerns or errors
- Adheres to cash policies and procedures
- Follows the line policy and opens additional check lanes as required to ensure an efficient checkout
- Completes curbside pickup orders by accurately retrieving items from the store verifying order contents and ensuring timely delivery to customers’ vehicles from the staging area
- Stocks shelves and displays neatly while following merchandising planograms to maximize sales
- Stockers must be able to arrive to work as early as 5:00am
