Cashiers are responsible for delivering friendly and efficient checkout service. This includes accurately operating the point-of-sale (POS) system, adhering to cash handling policies, and providing excellent customer service. Cashiers also help with curbside pickup orders by retrieving and verifying items and ensuring timely delivery to customers. Stockers play a critical role in maintaining store appearance and inventory by organizing and restocking shelves in accordance with merchandising plans, ensuring a neat and inviting shopping environment. Stockers may start as early as 5:00 a.m. and are integral to store operations.

Both roles require adherence to company policies, support for store management in achieving operational and total loss goals, and commitment to safety protocols including hazard identification and ergonomics improvement. Physical demands are significant; employees must be prepared to lift up to 45 pounds, operate various store equipment, and work in temperature-variable environments such as freezers and coolers. Job Duties

Models and fulfills all customer service principles and escalates concerns to store management as necessary
assists store management in achieving operational efficiency goals
assists store management in achieving total loss goals
complies with all established company policies and processes
supports store management in providing a safe working environment by identifying and rectifying hazards, ensuring proper ergonomics, and maintaining equipment in proper working order
maintains store zones standards and merchandising standards at all times
adheres to inventory procedures and product handling guidelines
performs general cleaning tasks to company standards
properly utilizes the point-of-sale (POS) system to accurately scan and process customer purchases and informs store management of scanning concerns or errors
adheres to cash policies and procedures
follows the line policy and opens additional check lanes as required to ensure an efficient checkout
completes curbside pickup orders by accurately retrieving items from the store, verifying order contents, and ensuring timely delivery to customers’ vehicles from the staging area
stocks shelves and displays neatly while following merchandising planograms to maximize sales
stockers must be able to arrive to work as early as 5:00am
