As a cashier, your primary responsibility will be to provide friendly and efficient checkout service, ensuring customers have a smooth and pleasant experience at the point of sale. You will be responsible for accurately scanning and processing purchases using the point-of-sale (POS) system, handling cash transactions, and following the store's cash policies. Additionally, cashiers play a key role in supporting curbside pickup orders by retrieving items accurately and ensuring timely delivery to customers' vehicles.

Stockers are essential in maintaining store operations by keeping shelves stocked and organized according to merchandising guidelines. This role involves working early hours, sometimes as early as 5:00 am, to restock products while adhering to planograms designed to maximize sales. Stockers ensure that products are merchandised neatly, inventory procedures are followed, and the store environment is clean and safe. Physical demands include lifting products weighing up to 45 pounds, operating equipment such as hand jacks and floor scrubbers, and working in various temperature environments including freezers and coolers.

Both roles require individuals who can work independently and as part of a team, communicate effectively, and maintain high standards of customer service and operational efficiency. Job Requirements

At least 18 years old
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Qualifications

Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
Ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers

Job Duties

Model and fulfill all customer service principles and escalate concerns to store management as necessary
Assist store management in achieving operational efficiency goals
Assist store management in achieving total loss goals
Comply with all established company policies and processes
Support store management in providing a safe working environment by identifying and rectifying hazards, ensuring proper ergonomics, and maintaining equipment
Maintain store zones standards and merchandising standards at all times
Adhere to inventory procedures and product handling guidelines
Perform general cleaning tasks to company standards
Properly utilize the point-of-sale system to accurately scan and process customer purchases and inform store management of scanning concerns or errors
Adhere to cash policies and procedures
Follow the line policy and open additional check lanes as required to ensure an efficient checkout
Complete curbside pickup orders by accurately retrieving items, verifying order contents, and ensuring timely delivery to customers’ vehicles from the staging area
Stock shelves and displays neatly while following merchandising planograms to maximize sales
Stockers must be able to arrive to work as early as 5:00am
Push, pull, sit, stand, reach, grasp, twist, bend, and move from one area to another
Lift, carry, and place product weighing up to 45 pounds on shelves at various heights including overhead
Operate equipment such as a cash register, electric and manual hand jacks, floor scrubber and cardboard baler
Stock product in varying temperatures including freezer and cooler environments
Use glass and multipurpose cleaning products
