As a Cashier at ALDI, you will be the face of the store, providing friendly and efficient checkout service. You will utilize the point-of-sale system to accurately scan and process customer purchases and handle cash transactions following company policies strictly. Meeting customers with a positive attitude and ensuring swift service are essential to this role. In addition to regular cashier duties, you'll also be responsible for fulfilling curbside pickup orders, which involves retrieving items, verifying orders, and delivering them to customers’ vehicles in a timely manner.
Alternatively, the Stocker position focuses on keeping the store well-stocked and organized to maximize sales and enhance the shopping experience. Stockers follow merchandising planograms to ensure products are displayed neatly and are easily accessible. This role requires early morning availability, with shifts starting as early as 5 a.m. The physical demands include lifting and placing products weighing up to 45 pounds and operating store equipment such as floor scrubbers, pallet jacks, and balers to maintain store cleanliness and stock levels.
Both roles emphasize teamwork, safety, and adherence to company policies and procedures. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
Job Qualifications
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc
- ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures
- ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- ability to perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail

Job Duties
- Models and fulfills all customer service principles and escalates concerns to store management as necessary
- assists store management in achieving operational efficiency goals
- assists store management in achieving total loss goals
- complies with all established company policies and processes
- supports store management in providing a safe working environment by identifying and rectifying hazards, ensuring proper ergonomics, and maintaining equipment in proper working order
- maintains store zones standards and merchandising standards at all times
- adheres to inventory procedures and product handling guidelines
- performs general cleaning tasks to company standards
- properly utilizes the point-of-sale (POS) system to accurately scan and process customer purchases and informs store management of scanning concerns or errors
- adheres to cash policies and procedures
- follows the line policy and opens additional check lanes as required to ensure an efficient checkout
- completes curbside pickup orders by accurately retrieving items from the store, verifying order contents, and ensuring timely delivery to customers’ vehicles from the staging area
- stocks shelves and displays neatly while following merchandising planograms to maximize sales
- stockers must be able to arrive to work as early as 5:00am
