The company is currently seeking enthusiastic part-time cashiers and stockers to join its retail team. Part-time cashiers at ALDI are responsible for providing friendly, efficient checkout service, accurately processing customer purchases using the point-of-sale system, and ensuring adherence to cash handling policies. Cashiers are also involved in completing curbside pickup orders, a service that supports convenience and safety for customers.

Stockers at ALDI help maintain well-organized, fully stocked shelves in line with merchandising planograms designed to maximize sales and attract shoppers. Stockers must be prepared for early morning shifts starting as early as 5:00 a.m. and are tasked with safely lifting and placing products weighing up to 45 pounds. Their work environment includes varying temperature settings, including freezer and cooler areas, and requires operation of store equipment such as pallet jacks and floor scrubbers.

Both cashier and stocker roles require physical stamina and attention to safety, as employees engage in various physical activities including lifting, bending, twisting, and moving around the store to support daily operations. Job Requirements

At least 18 years old required
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Qualifications

Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
Ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc
Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures

Job Duties

Models and fulfills all customer service principles and escalates concerns to store management as necessary
Assists store management in achieving operational efficiency goals
Assists store management in achieving total loss goals
Complies with all established company policies and processes
Supports store management in providing a safe working environment by identifying and rectifying hazards, ensuring proper ergonomics, and maintaining equipment in proper working order
Maintains store zones standards and merchandising standards at all times
Adheres to inventory procedures and product handling guidelines
Performs general cleaning tasks to company standards
Properly utilizes the point-of-sale (POS) system to accurately scan and process customer purchases and informs store management of scanning concerns or errors
Adheres to cash policies and procedures
Follows the line policy and opens additional check lanes as required to ensure an efficient checkout
Completes curbside pickup orders by accurately retrieving items from the store, verifying order contents, and ensuring timely delivery to customers’ vehicles from the staging area
Stocks shelves and displays neatly while following merchandising planograms to maximize sales
Stockers must be able to arrive to work as early as 5:00am
Pushes, pulls, sits, stands, reaches, grasps, twists, bends, and moves from one area to another
Lifts, carries, and places product weighing up to 45 pounds on shelves at various heights, including overhead
Operates equipment such as a cash register, electric and manual hand jacks, floor scrubber and cardboard baler
Stocks product in varying temperatures, including freezer and cooler environments
Uses glass and multipurpose cleaning products
