Currently, ALDI is seeking enthusiastic part-time cashiers and stockers to join their team. These roles are vital in sustaining ALDI's mission to deliver an outstanding shopping experience to its customers. The positions are part-time, offering fewer than 30 hours per week, with a starting wage of $18.00 per hour and scheduled wage increases up to $20.00 per hour by year five. As a cashier at ALDI, you will provide friendly and efficient checkout service using the point-of-sale system, ensuring accurate processing of customer purchases. You will be responsible for following cash policies, opening additional check lanes as needed to maintain smooth flow, and completing curbside pickup orders by retrieving items and assisting customers at their vehicles. Your role is critical in modeling excellent customer service principles and maintaining operational efficiency.
As a stocker, your primary responsibility will be to keep shelves fully stocked and organized, following merchandising planograms to maximize sales. Stockers must be prepared to start early shifts, sometimes as early as 5:00 a.m., and engage in physically demanding tasks including lifting products up to 45 pounds and working in varying temperatures such as coolers and freezers. Both roles require adherence to company policies, support for maintaining a safe working environment by identifying hazards, and upkeep of store cleanliness and merchandising standards.

Job Requirements
- At least 18 years old required
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
Job Qualifications
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- ability to operate all store equipment including cash registers, floor scrubbers, cardboard balers, pallet jacks, handheld devices, and computers
- ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures
- ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail

Job Duties
- Model and fulfill all customer service principles
- escalate concerns to store management as necessary
- assist store management in achieving operational efficiency goals
- assist store management in achieving total loss goals
- comply with all established company policies and processes
- support store management in providing a safe working environment by identifying and rectifying hazards
- maintain store zone standards and merchandising standards at all times
- adhere to inventory procedures and product handling guidelines
- perform general cleaning tasks to company standards
- utilize the point-of-sale system to accurately scan and process customer purchases
- adhere to cash policies and procedures
- follow the line policy and open additional check lanes when required
- complete curbside pickup orders by accurately retrieving items and ensuring timely delivery to customers
- stock shelves and displays neatly while following merchandising planograms
- arrive to work as early as 5:00am as a stocker
- push, pull, sit, stand, reach, grasp, twist, bend, and move around the store
- lift, carry, and place products weighing up to 45 pounds on shelves
- operate equipment such as cash registers, pallet jacks, floor scrubbers, and cardboard balers
- stock products in freezer and cooler environments
- use cleaning products safely
