As a cashier at ALDI, you will be responsible for providing friendly and efficient checkout services. This includes accurately scanning and processing customer purchases using the point-of-sale (POS) system, adhering to all cash policies, and opening additional check lanes as necessary to ensure quick service. Cashiers also assist with curbside pickup orders by retrieving items accurately and delivering them to customers' vehicles in a timely manner. The role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle transactions efficiently while maintaining a positive shopping environment.
The stocker position involves keeping shelves fully stocked and organized according to merchandising planograms to maximize sales and promote product visibility. Stockers must be prepared to start work early, as shifts can begin as early as 5:00 AM. Physical demands include lifting and placing products up to 45 pounds, operating material handling equipment, and working in various temperature environments including freezer and cooler areas. Stockers also contribute to a clean and safe store environment by complying with established company policies and general cleaning tasks. Both roles are essential to the overall store operations and require teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail.

Job Requirements
- At least 18 years old required
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
Job Qualifications
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc
- ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures
- ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- ability to perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail
- ability to work both independently and with others
- ability to organize, prioritize and complete assigned tasks to maximize productivity within established timeframes

Job Duties
- Model and fulfill all customer service principles and escalate concerns to store management as necessary
- assist store management in achieving operational efficiency goals
- assist store management in achieving total loss goals
- comply with all established company policies and processes
- support store management in providing a safe working environment by identifying and rectifying hazards, ensuring proper ergonomics, and maintaining equipment in proper working order
- maintain store zones standards and merchandising standards at all times
- adhere to inventory procedures and product handling guidelines
- perform general cleaning tasks to company standards
- properly utilize the point-of-sale (POS) system to accurately scan and process customer purchases and inform store management of scanning concerns or errors
- adhere to cash policies and procedures
- follow the line policy and open additional check lanes as required to ensure an efficient checkout
- complete curbside pickup orders by accurately retrieving items from the store, verifying order contents, and ensuring timely delivery to customers’ vehicles from the staging area
- stock shelves and displays neatly while following merchandising planograms to maximize sales
- stockers must be able to arrive to work as early as 5:00am
