This job posting is for two essential part-time roles at ALDI: cashiers and stockers. Both positions play a critical role in the daily operations of the store, contributing directly to the customer shopping experience and overall store efficiency. Available as part-time positions with average hours fewer than 30 per week, these roles offer a starting wage of $20.00 per hour with scheduled wage increases over the years. Specifically, wages increase to $20.50 in year 2, $21.00 in years 3 and 4, and $22.00 by year 5, reflecting ALDI’s commitment to rewarding long-term employees.

Cashiers are responsible for providing friendly and efficient customer service during the checkout process. They use ALDI's point-of-sale system to scan and process purchases accurately and handle cash responsibly following company policies. This role requires arriving as early as 5:00 a.m. to prepare the store for daily operations. Stockers must be physically capable of lifting, carrying, and placing products weighing up to 45 pounds at various shelf heights, including overhead, and working in different temperature environments such as freezers and coolers. Both roles require adherence to company policies and procedures, support for store management in operational goals, and maintenance of a safe working environment through hazard identification and correction.

Physical demands for both roles include walking, standing, sitting, reaching, grasping, twisting, bending, and moving throughout the store. Employees must be able to operate equipment such as cash registers, pallet jacks, floor scrubbers, cardboard balers, and handheld devices. Maintaining store zones and merchandising standards, following inventory and product handling guidelines, and performing general cleaning tasks contribute to an efficient and pleasant shopping atmosphere.
