The role being offered is a guest service-focused position located at the Hilton College Station, known for its unique standing in Aggieland. This position reports directly to the Guest Service Manager, Manager, or Rooms Director. The primary responsibility is managing walk-in traffic, greeting guests warmly, and providing comprehensive assistance to ensure a pleasant guest experience. Duties include escorting guests with luggage, informing guests about hotel facilities and services including their locations and hours of operation, and handling various front-of-house responsibilities such as checking luggage for day and overnight stays. Additionally, this role involves maintaining designated station cleanliness, posting daily events and entertainment boards in the lobby, and ensuring smooth communication throughout multiple shifts via an interdepartmental shift log.
Further responsibilities extend to delivering messages and valet services, conducting timely airport pick-ups and drop-offs, inspecting vehicles, and assisting with front desk key inventory management. This position demands a friendly, professional, and attentive demeanor, as the guest interactions significantly impact the overall hotel experience. Job Duties
- Manage walk in traffic
- open doors while guests are being greeted in a friendly and courteous manner
- accompany guests that need assistance with luggage to or from room
- explain all hotel facilities, their location in the hotel, hours of operation, and answer all questions about these facilities and any other hotel questions
- check luggage for hotel guests both for day and overnight
- maintain the designated stations in the lobby, standing alert to be easily summoned for fronts
- maintain the cleanliness of the bell stand, lobby and baggage room
- keep lobby door and windows clean when not busy with guests
- post the daily events board and entertainment board in the lobby
- maintain an open communication line through all shifts by proper use of interdepartmental shift log
- deliver messages and valet to guest rooms
- perform pick-ups and drop-offs at the airport for the guests in a timely, friendly and professional manner and inspect vehicles
- perform the duties of a valet
- assist front desk with key inventory twice weekly
