Job Description

Valet Living is a reputable service company specializing in doorstep trash and recycling collection for apartment communities. With a focus on enhancing the living environment of residents, Valet Living provides tailored refuse collection solutions that help keep residential communities clean, safe, and comfortable. The company values diversity, equal opportunity employment, and promotes from within, fostering a supportive workplace culture. Valet Living operates primarily in local community settings, ensuring employees have convenient access to their work sites without the need for long-distance travel or off-site dumping. Their operational model is designed to provide steady, reliable work while maintaining flexibility to accommodate the varied schedules of their workforce.

We are currently seeking motivated part-time Doorstep Trash Collection Specialists, also known as Service Valets, for evening shifts. This position is ideal for those looking for a supplementary income with consistent hours close to home, without the complexity of long commutes or handling bulk items. Employees in this role service one or more nearby apartment communities, collecting bagged trash and cardboard recycling directly from residents' doorsteps and transporting them to on-site compactors using their own open-bed pickup truck or a similar vehicle equipped with a trailer. The key responsibility is to ensure that the trash is removed each evening so that it is completely gone by the next morning, maintaining a clean and welcoming community environment.

This position offers a competitive hourly wage, with a truck pay rate of $20 per hour and a helper rate of $18 per hour. Work typically involves 10 to 15 or more hours per week on weeknights Sunday through Thursday, beginning after 7:00 or 8:00 PM. The role involves physical activity such as walking the property, climbing stairs, and working outdoors under various weather conditions. Employees utilize a proprietary mobile app to check in, track their work progress, and document their service with photos as needed. Valet Living provides all necessary safety equipment including gloves and safety vests to ensure that the job is both safe and efficient.

Valet Living is committed to an efficient hiring process allowing candidates to apply and start quickly. This role supports individuals seeking a flexible schedule that can easily fit around other commitments such as a primary job, schooling, or family responsibilities. Many employees appreciate the active nature of the work which offers a break from sedentary office jobs, along with opportunities for career growth — nearly half of area leader positions are filled through internal promotion. Additionally, employees can benefit from referral bonuses for inviting friends to join the team, reinforcing a community-oriented workplace culture.

If you possess your own reliable pickup truck or trailer-equipped vehicle, have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a smartphone with a data plan, this might be an excellent opportunity for you to earn extra income while remaining local and active. Valet Living welcomes all applicants authorized to work in the United States and values the diverse backgrounds that enrich its workforce.
