MBK Senior Living is a reputable senior living provider dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for its residents by fostering a supportive and dynamic community environment. With more than 30 years of experience, MBK Senior Living operates 35 Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care communities throughout the Western United States. Recognized as one of the Top 50 "Best Workplaces in Aging Services" by Fortune magazine and certified as a "Great Place to Work" since 2017, MBK Senior Living is committed to excellence in care, hospitality, and employee development. The company embodies the Japanese principle of Yoi Shigoto, meaning "good, quality work," which reflects in its deep commitment to building trust, exceeding expectations, and enriching lives of residents and team members alike.

The part-time Server role at MBK Senior Living plays a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional dining experience tailored to the unique needs and preferences of senior residents. This position offers variable shifts, including weekends, and pays $21.30 per hour, making it an attractive opportunity for individuals seeking flexible employment within a service-oriented, compassionate environment. Servers are responsible for ensuring that dining services not only meet high standards of quality and efficiency but also contribute to a welcoming and respectful community ambiance.

In this role, the Server will take accurate food orders and serve appetizing, visually appealing meals to residents, their families, and guests. They are expected to uphold impeccable table etiquette, such as serving from the left and clearing dishes between courses, to maintain a refined dining environment. The Server will engage with residents in a courteous and friendly manner, assist with menu selections, and attend to their individual needs to create a personalized dining experience. Understanding residents’ dietary restrictions and preferences, as outlined in their care plans, is critical to ensuring safety and satisfaction.

Additional responsibilities include tracking resident meal attendance and promptly informing team members for safety checks when residents are absent. The Server will help create a pleasant atmosphere by greeting and seating residents, especially welcoming newcomers, and managing room service meals when required. Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the dining areas, including tables, chairs, and serving stations, is essential, along with following all food safety protocols.

The role also encompasses support tasks such as setting up and resetting tables, restocking dining supplies, handling deliveries, washing dishes, and assisting kitchen staff as needed. A key part of the Server’s duties is promoting the community through professional behavior, appropriate grooming, and positive interactions, embodying MBK’s core values and commitment to teamwork and open communication. Safety and regulatory compliance remain paramount, and all actions must align with federal, state, and company policies.

This position encourages personal and professional growth within a nurturing environment supported by mentorship and development programs. MBK Senior Living offers a vibrant workplace culture centered on hospitality, enriched by benefits for full-time employees, including medical, dental, vision coverage, 401k matching, childcare assistance, and flexible spending accounts. The company values diversity and equal opportunity, inviting applicants from all backgrounds to be part of a team dedicated to making an impactful difference in the lives of seniors.
