Job Description

WhiteStone is a renowned senior living community located in the heart of Greensboro, with over a century of dedicated service to seniors. The organization prides itself on a resident-first philosophy and recognizes that its employees are instrumental in delivering exceptional care and hospitality. WhiteStone is deeply committed to fostering a positive work environment where employee engagement is paramount. As an Employer of Choice, WhiteStone encourages team members to actively participate in shaping the ways in which they serve residents, promoting a culture where collaboration, respect, and community involvement are at the forefront. Employees are not merely staff members; they become significant parts of a warm, welcoming community that values each individual's contributions and fosters a spirit of togetherness.

WhiteStone is currently seeking enthusiastic, hospitality-focused Servers who are passionate about delivering service with kindness and generosity. This role is critical in creating memorable dining experiences for residents, ensuring they feel valued and cared for. The Server position is designed for those who thrive in environments that emphasize excellent customer service, attention to detail, and hospitality. Notably, this role does not require working late nights, making it an attractive opportunity for individuals seeking a fulfilling job with a balanced schedule. Servers at WhiteStone are responsible for setting tables, taking orders, and providing courteous service throughout meal times. They work closely with residents and fellow staff to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and safety within dining areas, contributing to an overall positive environment.

The establishment promotes a hospitality culture rooted in warmth, respect, and attentiveness. Employees are expected to greet residents and guests with a smile, treat everyone courteously, anticipate needs proactively, and respond enthusiastically. The organization holds itself accountable for maintaining professionalism and paying close attention to detail in every interaction. Furthermore, WhiteStone emphasizes wellness as a core part of its community culture. Employees support residents’ holistic health across eight dimensions—emotional, environmental, health services, intellectual, physical, social, spiritual, and vocational. Through these wellness efforts, WhiteStone aims to not only enhance residents' quality of life but also foster a positive atmosphere that benefits its employees as well.

The Server role at WhiteStone offers an opportunity to be part of a passionate community dedicated to excellence in senior living hospitality. It suits candidates with previous food service experience who can communicate effectively in English and are eager to contribute to a vibrant and caring environment. While experience in fine dining or hospitality is preferred, WhiteStone is willing to provide training for the right individuals. Physical demands include the ability to stand and walk during the entire shift, lift and carry weight up to 20 pounds, and push carts up to 50 pounds, among other mobility requirements. WhiteStone is committed to equal employment opportunities and ensures all candidates undergo necessary background checks, drug screening, and reference verification as part of the hiring process.

Joining WhiteStone means becoming part of a family that honors tradition, values innovation through teamwork, and is deeply invested in the well-being of its residents and employees.
