Job Description
IHG Hotels & Resorts is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, renowned for its dedication to delivering exceptional guest experiences and high-quality accommodations. As one of the world’s largest hotel companies, IHG operates across 100 countries and counts over 370,000 team members among its workforce. The company prides itself on fostering an inclusive and dynamic work environment where innovation, collaboration, and personal ambition are encouraged and supported. IHG’s commitment to both its guests and employees is demonstrated through comprehensive benefits packages, career development opportunities, and a supportive culture aimed at helping every individual thrive. This broad international presence and strong brand reputation translate into a welcoming and rewarding workplace for those passionate about hospitality and service excellence.
The role of a Room Attendant at IHG Hotels & Resorts is pivotal in creating a memorable and comfortable stay for guests. As a Room Attendant, you will ensure that all rooms and suites meet the highest cleanliness and presentation standards. Your meticulous attention to detail will transform standard rooms into warm, inviting, and well-organized spaces that allow guests to relax or focus on last-minute work. Beyond cleaning, this role involves providing thoughtful assistance to guests by supplying additional amenities and helping with directions or minor requests, enhancing the overall guest experience.
In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety and hygiene standards set forth by the company, including wearing appropriate protective equipment and following established safety protocols. Organizational skills are essential since you will need to manage and control housekeeping supplies efficiently to minimize waste, contributing to the hotel’s sustainability efforts. You will also have to stay in constant communication with your supervisor and other hotel departments to report maintenance needs and coordinate services seamlessly.
Being physically fit is key, as this role requires standing for most of the day and handling items weighing up to 50 pounds. The job also demands flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. The hourly pay ranges from $13.00 to $15.00, coupled with a robust benefits package that includes paid time off, medical, dental, vision insurance, and a 401k plan for eligible employees.
Alongside daily housekeeping tasks, you may occasionally assist with deep cleaning projects and turndown services. You will take pride in your appearance wearing the uniform and embrace teamwork and a positive attitude in fulfilling correspondence duties. Attention to lost and found property procedures and minimizing supply waste further underscore the breadth of this role. If you are eager to join a large, inclusive team committed to service excellence and comfortable with the physical nature of the job, this opportunity offers a fulfilling career path in hospitality. You do not have to meet every single requirement to apply; passion and dedication weigh heavily in the selection process, as IHG values potential and the drive to grow.
