The role centers around delivering exceptional customer service to create a highly satisfied customer experience. The successful candidate will be engaged in actively interacting with all customers, embodying the customer experience philosophy and principles that TJX prides itself on. The role involves maintaining an organized and clean store environment, ensuring adherence to strict operational, merchandising, and loss prevention standards. Cross-training opportunities exist to enable employees to work in multiple areas of the store, further supporting business needs and encouraging professional growth.
This position requires the individual to be a role model for established customer experience practices, supporting and promoting a positive store culture based on honesty, integrity, and respect. Responsibilities also include accurately handling customer transactions, promoting credit and loyalty programs, and preparing merchandise to meet company merchandising standards. Contributing to store recovery and maintaining overall store cleanliness are critical duties that support store operational excellence.
Furthermore, the role requires adherence to labor laws, store policies, and procedures, along with active participation in store shrink reduction goals, safety awareness, and the ability to provide and accept constructive feedback. Job Duties
- Role models established customer experience practices with internal and external customers
- Supports and embodies a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect
- Accurately rings customer purchases/returns and counts change back to customer according to established operating procedures
- Promotes credit and loyalty programs
- Maintains and upholds merchandising philosophy and follows established merchandising procedures and standards
- Accurately processes and prepares merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures and standards
- Initiates and participates in store recovery as needed throughout the day
- Maintains all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participates in the maintenance/cleanliness of the entire store
- Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback
- Adheres to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
- Supports and participates in store shrink reduction goals and programs
- Participates in safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
- Other duties as assigned
