The Restaurant Assistant Manager role at Cinemark plays a crucial part in supporting and managing all restaurant operations within the theater. This position is hands-on, involving active leadership and oversight of Team Members to ensure the delivery of high-quality service to all guests. The Assistant Manager must uphold Cinemark's brand standards relating to timeliness, service accuracy, and overall guest experience. This role involves training and coaching team members, managing cash handling and inventory procedures, adhering to safety and alcohol service regulations, and driving profitability through cost control and sales growth. Additionally, the position requires a strong focus on employee relations, enforcing company policies fairly and consistently, and maintaining a positive work ethic and professional conduct.

The Assistant Manager is also responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety by identifying and sanitizing high-contact areas and responding promptly to any safety or security concerns within the restaurant and theater environment. This leadership position demands excellent interpersonal skills, exceptional organization, and keen attention to detail. Candidates should be prepared to navigate complex customer service challenges, manage deliveries and administrative tasks, and ensure team members present a professional appearance while providing friendly and courteous service. This full-time opportunity offers a competitive pay range from $15.00 to $16.15 per hour, with flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • high school or G.E.D. graduate preferred
  • minimum of 1-2 years of restaurant supervisory experience preferred
  • completion of management foundations, annual certifications, and MAP Core courses within Cinemark's Management Accreditation Program
  • completes basic food handling training and obtains any local or state mandated certification, health card, or food handlers permit where required
  • management members who work with alcohol are required to complete a Safe Alcohol Service training program
  • availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • requires regular and consistent attendance
  • has an energetic and friendly attitude during each shift
  • provides excellent guest service
  • accurate cash handling and basic math skills
  • interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate verbally and written with all ages, genders, and personalities
  • must be able to effectively and regularly converse in and comprehend English
  • ability to work in a team environment and independently
  • ability to take and follow direction

Job Duties

  • Trains and coaches team members to serve food and drinks to guests in a courteous and timely manner
  • interacts verbally with guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
  • completes assigned administrative functions
  • ensures cash handling procedures are completed according to company and brand policy
  • manages service of alcohol according to all state and federal laws and regulations
  • conducts regular inventory and ordering as necessary
  • accepts and audits deliveries
  • adheres to budgets, increasing profits through cost management and sales growth
  • handles complex and challenging customer service scenarios
  • ensures that team members follow the dress code
  • learns and follows the policies and procedures as established in Cinemark's Guidelines
  • enforces these with all staff fairly and consistently
  • reports all employee relations issues to the general manager
  • consistently identifies and sanitizes employee and guest high-contact areas
  • properly utilizes personal protective equipment while completing position-specific tasks
  • adapts to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
  • properly addresses any safety or security issues
  • performs other work-related duties as assigned
